# Orbitune Epoch Checkpoints

Archive of training checkpoints produced by the Orbitune **epoch runs**
(no-replacement full-epoch training over Aria-MIDI + GigaMIDI).

## Purpose

- Offload heavy checkpoints (each `model.pt` is ~112 MB) so local disk stays free.
- Keep a recoverable trail of `model.best.pt` and per-epoch milestone checkpoints.
- This repo is an **archive**, not a release. The published web model lives in
  [`Unjuno/orbitune-a2-512`](https://huggingface.co/Unjuno/orbitune-a2-512).

## Scope / license

- Research, non-commercial (CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0), same scope as `orbitune-a2-512`.
- Training sources: Aria-MIDI, GigaMIDI.
- Validation protocol: `a2-seq512-v1`, window hash `0d76ff62…`, seed 10001,
  98,304 events (identical across runs → numbers are comparable).

## Note

`docs/PUBLICATION.md` still states that research checkpoints are not
distributed; that document needs to be reconciled with this archive.
