Experiment output layout

Artifacts are grouped by their actual base model, shared purpose, or operations:

<owner>/<dataset-or-topic>/<version>/<category>/<task>/YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS_<name>/

• Owners include uniar-sft, thinkmorph-7b, bagel-7b-mot, latentum-base, and the corresponding Qwen/official baseline. shared owns cross-model and presentation work; ops owns infrastructure. Missing versions are unversioned.
• runs: result-producing runs, regardless of current execution status.
• sweeps: hyperparameter-search bundles and members.
• smoke: deliberately short probes and diagnostics.
• archive: failed, interrupted, duplicate, or superseded runs.

The model-first migration preserved 779 complete run directories and their original timestamped basenames. Five model-unknown empty legacy records remain under shared/unclassified. Checkpoint contents and frozen source snapshots were not rewritten. Historical paths are indexed by layout-map.json; live code/config references use the new layout. No old-directory aliases are needed.

The migration inventory, rename journal and verification result live in ops/storage/unversioned/runs/migration/20261002-125523_model_first_output_layout/. Older loose migration reports and Slurm logs are preserved there under legacy-loose-files/.

Read ../../docs/artifacts.md before relocation, continuation, Bucket upload, hydration or eviction. Daily uploads are add/update-only: a missing local checkpoint must never cause its remote archive to be deleted.
