| Please let me know if there's a way to reach D.O. | |
| as I'd be interested in discussing the game with him ( ? ) . | |
| On the off chance that D.O. will see this : although I was very upset at times | |
| over the dictionary puzzle , I hope that you will make more games someday. | |
| I thought that others would like to know more about this game though since | |
| for some reason nobody's put up a walkthrough at baf's guide. | |
| I thought it was odd that there was a review but no walkthrough | |
| when I first saw this game , and so I hope that this file will get to | |
| be up there once I'm finished so that other people like me | |
| can finally have a walkthrough for this most interesting game. | |
| Thanks Michael J. Roberts for making the / a TADS viewer , D.O. for making the game , | |
| and my father for trying to help me with the dictionary puzzle. | |
| Chamber Music | |
| You start here. | |
| ( Even though it's called Chamber Music , I like to call it the strange room ) | |
| How odd , everything speaks here , yet there are no people. | |
| Talk with the various objects about anything in the room. | |
| You learn about the items in the process and you're also told interesting things. | |
| If you type hint , eventually you'll be pushed in the right direction , | |
| you should ask the floor about the balloon again. | |
| Then you get more help after talking with the floor. | |
| I think you can try to force the scissors open and apoligize afterwards. | |
| But you can get them open without using force. | |
| ask floor about balloon | |
| balloon, rub on floor | |
| balloon, pick up bill | |
| ( for some reason this next part isn't in the hint system at all ) | |
| ask note about scissors | |
| ask scissors about dictionary | |
| enter book | |
| The Inner Dictionary | |
| Now you're inside , but there doesn't seem to be any way out. | |
| Wait a minute , we have a sentence here. | |
| Play with the words as suggested in the game. | |
| Hey , turns out that we've got | |
| two groups of words here | |
| and they can form two sentences. | |
| You can have many words in the first "line" but a limited amount in the second. | |
| Just to remind you , you can "pick up" , "drop" , "push" , and "pull" words. | |
| You cannot "pick up" or "drop" the word "you". | |
| It took me a while to get to : | |
| Their turn remains hard | |
| Nothing comes for you | |
| Which got me : | |
| The words stiffen their resolve. | |
| Hmm , that didn't quite work out as planned , did it ? | |
| Obviously we've got to try something else. | |
| Take nothing and get : | |
| You are weakened by the words. | |
| Hmm. | |
| Trying "Their turn remains hard | |
| Nothing comes for you" again gets you : | |
| The words reject you. | |
| Sigh. | |
| Guess that's really not it. | |
| Here's what I've got so far : | |
| Their turn remains hard | |
| Nothing comes for you | |
| So , that does something , | |
| but apparently we still | |
| haven't got things right. | |
| Arg. | |
| Their comes nothing | |
| For you turn hard remains | |
| Arg. | |
| That doesn't make much sense. | |
| Why doesn't there seem to be a way | |
| to have less or more words ? | |
| Their turn remains | |
| Nothing comes hard for you | |
| Well , that didn't do anything. | |
| Ugh. | |
| ( anything here ) | |
| For you turn nothing | |
| Darn , that doesn't change anything. | |
| Let's try : | |
| Their turn remains | |
| For you nothing comes hard | |
| Drat , that doesn't do anything either. | |
| Their turn remains hard | |
| For you nothing comes | |
| Hmm. | |
| The words reject us again. | |
| One night , while trying to solve this puzzle again , I asked my father for help. | |
| Things weren't going well and dad was tired. | |
| I messed around again and came up with : | |
| nothing comes for their remains | |
| you turn hard | |
| Something new! | |
| "You make sense of your surroundings. | |
| (The words dissolve into their base..... | |
| A Landscape of Rigor | |
| Sweetly, the earth provides the grounds for the chains of risen hills | |
| and the fields of straw that encircle you, and for the central plateau | |
| that acts as your stage. | |
| You are joined by three others, composed in balance, three who stand | |
| before you in endless anticipation: an old man, a woman, and a younger | |
| man. " | |
| I am so happy that I am finally finished with the dictionary puzzle. | |
| A Landscape of Rigor | |
| "The airy day seasons the rolling land with its clarity, and drenches in | |
| sunlight the figures of an old man, a woman, and a younger man, poised | |
| in frozen action." | |
| At last you get to interact with some people , but apparently they can't | |
| interact with you. | |
| Strangely enough , the first thing you'll have to do is remove their clothes. | |
| You can examine various parts of their bodies. | |
| The old man is the key and the woman is useful. | |
| x cut | |
| open cut | |
| pull staples with woman's hands | |
| open wound | |
| Eww...That was gross. | |
| Apparently the young man is not important. | |
| ( But...Fun! *smiles* ) | |
| The Atomic Weight of Breath and Doubt | |
| I was confused , but the hints let me know that it's a maze. | |
| *sighs* | |
| I hate mazes. | |
| However, the maze forms a word. | |
| Win | |
| A Seismic Void | |
| "You and this dingy star are locked in a system of unending cycles that | |
| drifts in the boundless dark." | |
| x force | |
| take force | |
| break force | |
| "An anger wells up inside you. You push away. And although it never | |
| quite breaks, the bond stretches so thin that you quickly lose its feel. | |
| (You become a secret of the void....." | |
| And we're done! | |
