SYNDICATE COALITION — UNIT KIT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Load after engine/models.js. Classic script, one shared global scope: every
name in here is prefixed `coa`/`mdlCoa` so it cannot collide with the four
model libraries already in the bundle.
THE PROBLEM THIS SOLVES. The Coalition already ships a complete 27-building
kit (models-machine.js) and exactly five bespoke chassis, so twenty-one of
its unit slots fell through to the base roster — tracked, riveted, crewed
vehicles parked in front of triangular hovering architecture. A faction is
not a tint; it is a construction language, and half this army was speaking
somebody else's.
THE LANGUAGE, taken from the buildings and from mdlSynTank/mdlSyndicateRhino:
- hexagonal plan. macHex() draws every Machine pad, silo and relay; every
hull here is a hex or a raked derivative of one.
- triangular pylons with a lit spine, exactly like macPylon().
- separated, floating mechanisms — a core suspended inside a ring cage,
the way macCore() hangs a reactor above a structure.
- open energy throats. A Machine weapon is never a solid tube with a black
dot on the end: it is a guide bore with accelerator rings down it and a
real shadowed mouth (tubeX + TWR_BORE), the same as macPortal().
- NO tracks, NO wheels, NO suspension, NO windows. These are autonomous
constructs riding plenum skirts with a visible air gap underneath, and
nothing on them is shaped for a human being to sit in.
MATERIALS. The colour constants are material selectors, so the choices here
are structural, not decorative:
TEAM_A/TEAM_B/TEAM_T the only surfaces that take the faction's livery.
Two to five panels per model, always in the same
places — flank rail, deck badge, dorsal stripe — so
ownership reads at command zoom without drowning the
metal.
SERVO marks a surface as a LEG; the vertex stage swings it
through the walk cycle below y=11. Used on the TITAN
and NOWHERE else in this file, because painting a
hovering hull SERVO makes it flap.
ENERGY / TWR_GLOW lift coils, accelerator rings, cores. Deliberate and
local; smeared everywhere it stops meaning anything.

/* ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMPONENT KIT
The buildings get macPad/macPylon/macCore; the units get the same vocabulary
sized for a vehicle. Every one of these is a COMPONENT with its material
breaks already in it, so a chassis assembled from them starts at "machine".
