# Crux — public site and evidence

**Crux gives AI agents a question layer before they commit.** It installs where an
agent already runs — hooks, skills, plugins, MCP — surfaces the gap between what
the agent assumes and what the work requires, and asks the smallest useful
question.

This Space hosts the public Crux site: audience pages for product managers and
solution architects and for decision work, the staged research program, a
searchable index of 31 projects across the Complide → Crux lineage, and the
private-preview signup. The `evidence/` folder contains the question-quality
evaluation report, dataset, and reviewer context-engineering comparison.

Claims boundary: V1 is an integration-first question layer. Mechanistic
interpretability, model control, and steering are research roadmap, not shipping
