# Data Science Group — University of Innsbruck

The **Data Science Group** is a research unit within the [Department of Computer Science](https://www.uibk.ac.at/informatik/index.html.en) at the [University of Innsbruck](https://www.uibk.ac.at/), established in January 2021 and led by **[Prof. Dr. Adam Jatowt](https://ds-informatik.uibk.ac.at/doku.php?id=homepage)**.

We work on **Natural Language Processing** and **Information Retrieval**, with a strong focus on large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and the **temporal dimension** of text — how meaning, relevance, and knowledge evolve across diachronic document collections such as multi-decade news archives.

This Hugging Face organization hosts the models, datasets, and demos produced by our group and our collaborators.
