### 1. Install Dependencies
```bash
npm install
```

### 2. Configure MongoDB
Edit `.env` file and set your MongoDB connection:
```env
MONGODB_URI=mongodb://localhost:27017/discord-app
JWT_SECRET=your_secret_key_here
```

### 3. Start MongoDB (if using local)
```bash
mongod
```

### 4. Initialize Database (optional)
```bash
npm run init-db
```
This adds 6 default shop items to your database.

### 5. Start the Server
```bash
npm start
```

### 6. Open Browser
Navigate to `http://localhost:3000`

### 7. Create Account & Login
Register with email/password/username and start chatting!
