# LOGOS Embedding Engine

Remote BGE-M3 embedding worker for the local LOGOS application.

The UI accepts one text/chunk per line. The API also accepts a JSON array.


## LOGOS API contract

The endpoint is exposed as `embed_batch`. LOGOS sends a JSON-array string through the Textbox input, for example `["chunk 1", "chunk 2"]` (without the control characters). The endpoint returns `model`, `embeddings`, `dimension`, and `count`.

Environment variables:
- `LOGOS_EMBED_MODEL` — default `BAAI/bge-m3`
- `LOGOS_EMBED_BATCH_SIZE` — internal SentenceTransformer batch size, default `16`
- `LOGOS_EMBED_MAX_INPUTS` — maximum texts per API request, default `64`
