Loïc Jané +1: Claude Opus 5 (1M context)Installed in one click from the app store, nobody can edit a .env — so every setting now lives on a Setup tab: the Fleece webhook URL, the speech keys, language, gestures. Values persist outside the package, since the wireless robot installs apps into a shared venv, and are read at call time so saving applies on the next message rather than needing a restart. Environment variables of the same name still act as defaults, which keeps local development working as before. Secrets never travel back to the browser: they are masked to their last four characters, and a password field left empty means "keep what is saved" rather than clearing it. Loïc Jané +1: Claude Opus 5 (1M context)Speak to the robot and your Fleece AI teammate answers out loud, with its own voice, moving while it listens, thinks and talks: mic -> VAD -> Voxtral STT -> Fleece device webhook -> TTS -> speaker Voxtral (Mistral) transcribes noticeably better than Whisper, which kept mangling names; a context-bias list fixes the rest, though the API rejects multi-word terms so they are split. Whisper stays as a fallback. Gestures come from the agent itself: each reply carries an emotion word mapped here to Pollen's recorded moves, with several variants per word so the robot does not look scripted. Moves run for seconds, so they play while the robot speaks rather than before, and the animation loop yields the motors meanwhile — two writers fight otherwise. Audio devices are released in a finally block and on SIGTERM. Without that the microphone stayed busy for every other app on the machine after the process was killed.
