Medicaid Risk Stratification Scenario
Goal: Identify high-risk Medicaid members using claims-based indicators.
Risk Scoring Logic (simple example):
	•	Age > 65 → +1
	•	≥2 chronic conditions → +2
	•	≥3 ED visits → +2
	•	≥1 inpatient admission → +2
	•	Total cost > $20,000 → +2
	•	Behavioral health need → +2
	•	More than 10 prescriptions → +1
	•	Social risk > 5 → +1

Risk categories:
	•	High Risk: score ≥ 6
	•	Moderate: 3–5
	•	Low: 0–2
