A strong evidence workflow records the research question, inclusion criteria, search databases, screening decisions, quality appraisal, extracted findings, limitations, and final synthesis.

For domain-specific AI systems, retrieval-augmented generation is useful because the system can answer from a controlled document collection and show source passages. Fine-tuning is more appropriate for changing behavior or style than for storing frequently updated facts.
