# Reports Page Implementation Summary ## Overview The Reports page has been successfully connected to real API endpoints, replacing all hardcoded sample data with live data from the database. ## Changes Made ### 1. Backend API (`backend/api/endpoints/reports.py`) Created comprehensive reports endpoints: - **GET /api/v1/reports/stats** - Overall statistics - Total reports count - Average test score - Shortlisted candidates count - Rejected candidates count - **GET /api/v1/reports/pass-fail** - Test pass/fail statistics - Passed tests count - Failed tests count - Total tests count - **GET /api/v1/reports/candidate-reports** - Detailed candidate reports - Candidate information - Test scores - Interview scores - Recommendations (Strong Hire, Shortlist, Maybe, Reject) - Application dates - **GET /api/v1/reports/skills-analysis** - Skills analysis across candidates - Top 10 skills by frequency - Average scores per skill - Candidate count per skill - **GET /api/v1/reports/performance-overview** - Hiring performance metrics - Hiring rate percentage - Average time to hire (days) - Quality score (0-5 scale) - Total candidates and hired count ### 2. API Router Registration (`backend/api_app.py`) - Imported reports router - Registered at `/api/v1/reports` prefix ### 3. Frontend API Service (`frontend/src/services/api.js`) Added methods for all reports endpoints: - `getReportStats()` - `getPassFailStats()` - `getCandidateReports(skip, limit)` - `getSkillsAnalysis()` - `getPerformanceOverview()` ### 4. Reports Page (`frontend/src/pages/Reports.jsx`) Completely refactored to use real data: - Added state management for all data sections - Implemented `fetchReportsData()` to load all data in parallel - Added loading state with spinner - Connected all components to real API data - Added error handling - Placeholder handlers for Export and Generate Report buttons ## Bug Fixes - Fixed Interview model field reference: Changed `overall_rating` to `overall_score` (0-100 scale) - Fixed interview score calculation in candidate reports - Fixed quality score calculation in performance overview ## Testing Created `backend/test_reports_api.py` to verify all endpoints: - All 5 endpoints tested successfully - Returns real data from database - Proper authentication handling ## Data Flow 1. User navigates to Reports page 2. Frontend calls all 5 API endpoints in parallel 3. Backend queries database for relevant data 4. Data is processed and formatted 5. Frontend displays data in charts and tables ## Current Data Available Based on test results: - 5 total reports - Average score: 11.5% - 1 shortlisted candidate - 0 rejected candidates - 2 completed tests (0 passed, 2 failed) - Skills tracked: Python, Django, Node.js, etc. - 6 total candidates in system ## Next Steps (Optional Enhancements) 1. Implement Export functionality (CSV/PDF) 2. Implement Generate Report functionality 3. Add date range filters 4. Add real-time updates 5. Add more detailed analytics 6. Add comparison charts (month-over-month, etc.) ## Files Modified - `backend/api/endpoints/reports.py` (created) - `backend/api_app.py` (updated) - `frontend/src/services/api.js` (updated) - `frontend/src/pages/Reports.jsx` (updated) - `backend/test_reports_api.py` (created) ## How to Test 1. Ensure backend is running: `python backend/api_app.py` 2. Ensure frontend is running: `npm run dev` in frontend folder 3. Login to the application 4. Navigate to Reports page 5. All data should load from the database 6. Or run: `python backend/test_reports_api.py` to test API directly ## Status ✅ Complete - Reports page is fully functional with real data
