# GlyphMatics Compression Metrics GlyphMatics is a symbolic execution-compression system. It does not claim that arbitrary entropy can be compressed into tiny strings. It compresses recoverable structure by storing verified generative glyphlines that activate a shared runtime prior. ## Metric Classes ### 1. Literal Glyphline Ratio Expanded verified artifact bytes divided by canonical glyphline bytes. Current verified example: ```text 10,832,459 expanded artifact bytes / 61 glyphline bytes = 177,581.30 : 1 This means the visible glyphline program triggered verified expansion into a much larger artifact chain. 2. Transport Image Ratio Expanded verified artifact bytes divided by the literal PNG transport image size. This measures the practical file-size ratio of the visible-image transport artifact. 3. Shared-Prior Ratio Regenerated artifact bytes divided by sigil bytes, assuming the decoder already holds the required legal shared prior. This is the ratio used for extreme GlyphMatics compression claims. Boundary A tiny sigil can represent a large artifact only when one of these is true: The runtime already contains the required legal shared prior. The artifact is generated by known rules/templates. The artifact can be behaviorally reconstructed and verified. The artifact is externally retrievable and hash-locked. GlyphMatics does not losslessly compress arbitrary random bytes into tiny glyphlines. Rule Data → meaning → generator → glyphline → verified re-expansion.
