2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service — process your video requests, generate scripts, render videos
To manage your account — authenticate you, track your coin balance
To process payments — verify KBZ Pay transfers and credit your account
To communicate — send payment approval/rejection notifications via Telegram (if linked)
To improve the Service — understand usage patterns and fix issues

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Google OAuth & Data Usage

If you sign in with Google, we receive the following from Google's OAuth 2.0 service:

Your email address (used as your username/identifier)
Your display name (shown in your account profile)
Your Google Account ID (used to link future logins)

We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, calendar, or any other Google services. We only use the openid email profile scope — the minimum required for authentication.

You can revoke Recap Studio's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions.

Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage & Security

User data is stored in JSON format, synced to a private Hugging Face dataset repository
Passwords are hashed using SHA-256 — plaintext passwords are never stored
Payment slip images are stored as base64 in the payments database and accessible only to admin
All data is stored on servers within our hosting infrastructure
We use HTTPS for all data transmission

While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password.

5. Data Sharing

We share data with third parties only as necessary to operate the Service:

6. Data Retention

Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion request.
Payment records: Retained for 12 months for financial record-keeping
Payment slip images: Deleted after payment verification (within 30 days)
Processed videos: Stored temporarily on-server and automatically purged

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
Portability — Request your data in a portable format
Withdrawal — Revoke Google OAuth access at any time

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Recap Studio uses sessionStorage (browser session storage) to maintain your login session. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics.

9. Children's Privacy

Recap Studio is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
