# Qari-OCR Batch Space

Arabic textbook page OCR using [`NAMAA-Space/Qari-OCR-v0.3-VL-2B-Instruct`](https://hf.co/NAMAA-Space/Qari-OCR-v0.3-VL-2B-Instruct).

- Set the Space **hardware to ZeroGPU** (free on HF PRO) in Settings → Hardware.
- Exposes API endpoint **`/ocr`** — takes a page image, returns transcribed Arabic text.
- Drive it over a whole PDF with `batch_ocr.py` (in the parent folder of this repo).
