# 🕰️ GitBack Machine

The lazy-caching GitHub snapshot archive. Search any public repo, browse its full commit history, and view file-level snapshots at any point in time.

**How caching works:**
- First time someone views a snapshot → fetched live from GitHub, then saved to one of 3 distributed storage buckets
- Every subsequent view → served instantly from cache ⚡
- Every snapshot is stored **exactly once** — SHA-based deterministic assignment + dedup index
