Welcome to the Babel project - we aim to build open multilingual LLMs that serve as many users as possible to make #LLMs4Everyone 🌏.

The [current version](https://huggingface.co/collections/Tower-Babel/babel-67c172157372d4d6c4b4c6d5) of Babel covers the top 25 languages by number of speakers, supports over 90% of the global population, and includes many languages neglected by other open or close multilingual LLMs.
