# UMUTeam — NLP Research Group

We are the **UMUTeam**, a research group from the University of Murcia (Spain) focused on **Natural Language Processing (NLP)** for Spanish, with special emphasis on:

- Hate speech and abusive language detection  
- Multimodal analysis (text + audio)  
- Emotion and sentiment analysis  
- Political ideology and misinformation  
- Author profiling  
- Ontology-driven NLP and knowledge integration  
- Evaluation of LLMs and linguistic features  

Our goal is to develop **high-quality Spanish NLP resources**, including datasets, models, evaluation frameworks, and open-source tools for the community.
