# Find My Dog — Backend

FastAPI + YOLOv8 + DINOv2 + pgvector. The browser-facing app lives at
[`aipluto.vercel.app`](https://aipluto.vercel.app); this Space is the API
that handles detection, embedding, sighting upload, and similarity search.

## Required environment variables (set as Space *Secrets*)

| Variable | Purpose |
|---|---|
| `DATABASE_URL` | Supabase Postgres URI (Session pooler), `postgresql+psycopg://…` |
| `SUPABASE_URL` | `https://<project-ref>.supabase.co` (used as the storage REST endpoint) |
| `SUPABASE_KEY` | Legacy `service_role` JWT (Storage REST currently rejects the new `sb_secret_*` keys) |

When `SUPABASE_URL` + `SUPABASE_KEY` are present, the storage layer uses
Supabase Storage instead of the local MinIO.
