# JackAILocal Odysseus Integration Decision

Odysseus is treated as a product/UI reference, not as the runtime base.

Implemented in JackAILocal:

- Workspace shell: Chat, Model Cookbook, Documents, Benchmark, Settings, Support.
- Model Cookbook UX: model profiles, RAM/VRAM requirements, backend metadata.
- Local documents area constrained to `workspace/documents`.
- Benchmark panel for live demos and Reddit-style proof requests.
- Settings panel with Simple/Advanced mode and locked shell/system tools.
- Feature flags endpoint so the UI can show what is enabled.

Deliberately not enabled for the consumer USB edition:

- Shell agents.
- MCP tools with system access.
- Email/calendar automation.
- LAN exposure.
- Open web research by default.
- Arbitrary filesystem access.

Reason: JackAILocal is for non-technical offline use. Odysseus-style richness is useful, but the USB product must remain deterministic, local, offline and supportable.
