This project has been implemented, up to now, using Javascript.

Let's refactor to Python.

Please work through this task list:

1: Replace all Javascript code with Python.
2: Clean up all JS artifacts (node_modules) etc 
3: Create a Python environment using uv and write a starter bash script for creating the environment
