# Cantilever Rectangular Beam — Point Load (Free End or at Position a)

A Gradio app that computes **max bending stress**, **yield FoS**, **free-end deflection**, and **deflection FoS (L/180)** for a **cantilever rectangular beam** with a **point load at the free end or at distance a**.  
It prints explicit arithmetic (with `*`) so students can *see the math*, and generates a one-sentence, friendly explanation using a tiny LLM when available.

## Run locally
```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
python app.py
```

## Notes
- If Transformers/Torch aren't available in the Space, the app gracefully falls back to a deterministic one-liner.
- Educational demo (Euler–Bernoulli, small deflection); not a full design code check.
