# About AIM@IISc
The AI for Integrated Mobility (AIM) team at the [Indian Institute of Science (IISc)](https://iisc.ac.in/), Bangalore explores the use of AI and data driven methods and digital twin platforms to address challenges to urban mobility in Indian, including traffic congestion, traffic safety and urban planning.
AIM@IISc is anchored at the [Centre for infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation and Urban Planning (CiSTUP)](https://cistup.iisc.ac.in/), and consists of an inter-disciplinary team of faculty and researchers from
CiSTUP, [Department of Computation and Data Sciences (CDS)](https://cds.iisc.ac.in/), [Robert Bosch Centre for Cyberphysical Systems (RBCCPS)](https://cps.iisc.ac.in/) and [Centre for Data for Public Good (CDPG)](https://dataforpublicgood.org.in/).
Some of the flagship activities of AIM@IISc include developing:

* Methods for congestion prediction and intevention
* Techniques for automated safety audits
* Agent-based approaches for medium and long term mobily modeling
* A Digital Twin platform for scalable data acquisition and analytics, based on the [IUDX platform](https://iudx.org.in/) from CDPG.
