Quick Start: Screenshot Capture for Unusual Activity

How It Works (3 Simple Steps)

Step 1: Start Live Camera Monitoring

1. Go to Live Camera page
2. Select your camera from the dropdown (USB camera must be connected)
3. Check the detection models you want to use:
   • ✓ Weapon Detection (guns/knives)
   • ✓ Violence Detection (fighting, aggression)
   • ✓ Anomaly Detection (unusual behavior)
   • ✓ Pose Detection (unsafe positions)
4. Click "Start Camera" button

Step 2: Monitor in Real-Time

• The live feed appears with AI analysis
• Watch the "Recent Detections" gallery at the top
• When unusual activity is detected, screenshots are automatically captured
• Status indicators show:
  • 🟢 LIVE - Camera is streaming
  • 📊 Statistics - Real-time detection counts
  • 🚨 Alerts - Active threats

Step 3: Review Detections

• Look at the "Recent Detections" gallery
• Click any thumbnail to see full details:
  • Full-size screenshot
  • Detection type (Weapon/Violence/Anomaly)
  • Alert severity level
  • Exact timestamp
  • Confidence score

What Gets Automatically Captured?

Tips for Best Results

1. Good Lighting: Ensure adequate lighting for detection
2. Clear View: Keep camera unobstructed

Storage Management

• Each screenshot is ~500KB (typical 1080p JPEG)
• 100 detections = ~50MB
• Consider archiving old detections to save space
• Monitor disk usage: uploads/detections/ folder

Export & Reporting

To save detection screenshots:

1. Click on detection in gallery
2. Right-click image → "Save image as..."
3. Use for incident reports or compliance documentation

Support & Troubleshooting

Camera Not Starting?

• Ensure USB camera is connected
• Try different USB port
• Restart browser
• Check camera drivers installed

No Detections Appearing?

• Verify at least one model is selected
• Camera must be running (green indicator)
• Check if unusual activity actually present
• Review model confidence thresholds

Screenshots Not Saving?

• Check folder permissions on uploads/detections/
• Ensure sufficient disk space
• Check browser console for errors (F12)
• Contact admin if folder missing
