About this Space

- App: FastAPI + Leaflet single-page app.
- Purpose: Click on the map to get a 4‑day (96h) hourly point forecast using ECMWF IFS open data as provided via Open‑Meteo.
- Variables: 2t, 2d, 10u, 10v, msl, sp, tp, cp, sf, tcc, lcc, mcc, hcc, cape, cin, vis (shown if available).

Run locally (optional)

1. Build: `docker build -t ecmwf-forecast .`
2. Run: `docker run -e PORT=7860 -p 7860:7860 ecmwf-forecast`
3. Open: http://localhost:7860

Notes

- Data source is the Open‑Meteo ECMWF IFS endpoint, which mirrors ECMWF open forecast data for convenient per‑point queries.
- Units are converted to sensible SI where needed (e.g., Pa → hPa, K → °C).
- If a variable is not available, it is omitted from the table.
