LIBRARY BRANCHES: Khalifa University Library operates two physical branches: - Main Campus Library (SAN Campus, Abu Dhabi) - Sas Al Nakhl Campus Library Both branches provide study spaces, computer workstations, printing and scanning facilities, and access to physical collections. BORROWING AND LOANS: - Undergraduate students can borrow up to 10 items for 14 days - Graduate students can borrow up to 15 items for 28 days - Faculty can borrow up to 25 items for 90 days - Most items can be renewed up to 3 times if not requested by another user - Renewals can be done online through My Library Account: https://khalifa.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/account?vid=971KUOSTAR_INST:KU - Overdue items may incur fines STUDY ROOMS: The library offers group study rooms that can be reserved online. - Reserve a study room at: https://library.ku.ac.ae/rooms/ - Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis - Booking can be made in advance - Group study rooms accommodate 4-8 people - Individual study carrels are also available on a walk-in basis INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL): If a book or article is not available in the Khalifa University Library collection, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. - Submit ILL requests at: https://library.ku.ac.ae/ill/ - ILL is free for Khalifa University students and faculty - Delivery time varies from 1-3 weeks depending on the source library - Both physical books and electronic articles can be requested PRINTING, SCANNING, AND PHOTOCOPYING: - Printing and photocopying services are available in both library branches - Black and white and color printing available - Scanning is free of charge - Students use their KU ID card for printing services COMPUTER WORKSTATIONS: - Desktop computers are available in both library branches - All workstations have internet access and standard software - Laptops can be borrowed for in-library use at the circulation desk REFERENCE AND RESEARCH HELP: - Librarians are available to help with research questions - Research consultations can be scheduled - Ask a Librarian service: https://library.ku.ac.ae/AskUs - Library instruction sessions are available for classes LIBRARY HOURS: For current library hours, please visit: https://library.ku.ac.ae/hours Hours may vary during exam periods, holidays, and Ramadan. |
