# Getting started with your workspace
|
| 2 |
-
|
| 3 |
-
This article helps you get started with your workspace so you can connect channels, build your first automation, and start talking to your customers.
|
| 4 |
-
|
| 5 |
-
By the end of this guide, you will:
|
| 6 |
-
|
| 7 |
-
- Log in and understand the main parts of the interface
|
| 8 |
-
- Connect at least one messaging channel
|
| 9 |
-
- Build and publish your first simple automation
|
| 10 |
-
|
| 11 |
-
## 1. Log in and explore the dashboard
|
| 12 |
-
|
| 13 |
-
1. Go to the login page and sign in with your account.
|
| 14 |
-
2. After logging in, you’ll land on the **Dashboard**. Here you can see:
|
| 15 |
-
- Recent activity
|
| 16 |
-
- Status of your channels (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram)
|
| 17 |
-
- Shortcuts to Automations, Contacts, and Settings
|
| 18 |
-
|
| 19 |
-
Take a minute to explore the main navigation:
|
| 20 |
-
|
| 21 |
-
- **Dashboard** – overview and shortcuts
|
| 22 |
-
- **Automations / Flows** – where you build automations
|
| 23 |
-
- **Channels** – where you connect WhatsApp, Instagram, and other sources
|
| 24 |
-
- **Contacts** – where you manage subscribers and customers
|
| 25 |
-
|
| 26 |
-
## 2. Connect your first channel
|
| 27 |
-
|
| 28 |
-
To start sending and receiving messages, connect a channel.
|
| 29 |
-
|
| 30 |
-
1. Go to **Settings → Channels**.
|
| 31 |
-
2. Choose a channel, for example **WhatsApp** or **Instagram**.
|
| 32 |
-
3. Click **Connect** and follow the on-screen steps.
|
| 33 |
-
4. When the channel is connected successfully, its status will show **Connected**.
|
| 34 |
-
|
| 35 |
-
If you run into errors while connecting, see:
|
| 36 |
-
|
| 37 |
-
- **Troubleshooting WhatsApp connection**
|
| 38 |
-
- **Troubleshooting Instagram connection**
|
| 39 |
-
|
| 40 |
-
## 3. Build your first automation
|
| 41 |
-
|
| 42 |
-
Automations allow you to send messages automatically when certain conditions are met, such as “user sends a message” or “user clicks a button”.
|
| 43 |
-
|
| 44 |
-
1. Go to **Automations → Flows**.
|
| 45 |
-
2. Click **Create Flow**.
|
| 46 |
-
3. Choose a template (for example, “Welcome message”) or **Start from blank**.
|
| 47 |
-
4. Add a **trigger**, such as:
|
| 48 |
-
- “New message received”
|
| 49 |
-
- “User joins list”
|
| 50 |
-
5. Add an **action**, such as:
|
| 51 |
-
- “Send message”
|
| 52 |
-
- “Add tag”
|
| 53 |
-
6. Connect the trigger to the action.
|
| 54 |
-
7. Click **Save** and then **Enable** the flow.
|
| 55 |
-
|
| 56 |
-
Your first automation is now live. You can test it by sending a message from your connected channel.
|
| 57 |
-
|
| 58 |
-
## 4. Test and iterate
|
| 59 |
-
|
| 60 |
-
Once your first automation is enabled:
|
| 61 |
-
|
| 62 |
-
- Trigger it as a user would (send a message, perform an action).
|
| 63 |
-
- Check if the correct response is sent.
|
| 64 |
-
- If something doesn’t work as expected:
|
| 65 |
-
- Open the flow again
|
| 66 |
-
- Check the trigger conditions
|
| 67 |
-
- Ensure the flow is **Enabled**
|
| 68 |
-
|
| 69 |
-
## 5. Where to go next
|
| 70 |
-
|
| 71 |
-
Once you’re comfortable with the basics, you can:
|
| 72 |
-
|
| 73 |
-
- Add more channels (e.g. Instagram, web chat)
|
| 74 |
-
- Build more advanced flows using conditions and variables
|
| 75 |
-
- Integrate with external tools using webhooks or APIs
|
| 76 |
-
|
| 77 |
-
If you’re unsure what to do next, try asking the assistant:
|
| 78 |
-
|
| 79 |
-
> “Help me design a simple onboarding flow for new contacts.”
