Initial: Open-WikiTable test split viewer (6,602 qids)

Browse files

Static HF Space mirroring the monaco-benchmark-viewer pattern.

Per-qid shards under records/<qid>.json + index.json sidebar manifest.
UI: sidebar (search + WikiSQL/WikiTQ filter + prev/next), sticky question
header with gold-answer pills, syntax-highlighted reference SQL block, and
a 3-tab tables panel (hard_positive / positive / negative) rendering the
splitted-table chunks with page_title > section_title > caption breadcrumb.

Builder: scripts/build_dataset.py joins {train,valid,test}.json with
splitted_tables.json (subtracts 1 from the 1-based id refs).

+ # Open-WikiTable Viewer
11
+
12
+ Interactive viewer for the **test split** of [Open-WikiTable](https://github.com/sean0042/Open-WikiTable) (Kweon et al., ACL Findings 2023) — the first open-domain QA dataset that requires complex reasoning over tables, built on WikiSQL + WikiTableQuestions.
13
+
14
+ For each of the **6,602** test questions you can inspect:
15
+
16
+ - The decontextualized question + dataset of origin (`WikiSQL` / `WikiTQ`)
17
+ - The gold answer(s)
18
+ - The reference SQL query
19
+ - The three buckets of candidate splitted-table chunks: **hard-positive** (full match), **positive** (partial match), **negative** (BM25-similar distractors) — each rendered as a real table with page/section/caption breadcrumb

21
+ ## Local dev
22
+
23
+ ```bash
24
+ python -m http.server 8000 # → http://localhost:8000/
25
+ ```
26
+
27
+ ## Rebuilding the shards
28
+
29
+ If the source dataset is re-extracted, re-run:
30
+
31
+ ```bash
32
+ python scripts/build_dataset.py \
33
+ --in-split /path/to/Open_WikiTable/data/test.json \
34
+ --in-tables /path/to/Open_WikiTable/data/splitted_tables.json \
35
+ --out-dir .
36
+ ```
37
+
38
+ This writes `index.json` + `records/<qid>.json` shards (no LFS needed — each shard is a few KB).
