We completed the PHQ-9 questionnaire today and your score was twelve, which indicates moderate depression. You also completed the GAD-7 and scored eight, suggesting mild to moderate anxiety. You have been taking sertraline fifty milligrams daily for the past three months. Given that your symptoms have not fully improved, I would like to increase your sertraline to one hundred milligrams daily. This is a safe and commonly used dose and it may take two to four weeks before you notice the full benefit. I would also like to refer you for talking therapy through the local IAPT service, as a combination of medication and therapy tends to work best. Please continue with the regular exercise you mentioned as that does help with mood. If at any point you feel your mood is getting significantly worse or you have any thoughts of harming yourself, please contact us urgently or call the crisis line.
