# Hermes Agent — Persistent, OpenRouter + Spawn

Runs [Hermes Agent](https://github.com/NousResearch/hermes-agent) by Nous Research as a Hugging Face Space.

- **Model provider:** OpenRouter (many models — switch with `/model`)
- **Spawn / delegation:** subagents run through OpenRouter with parallel + nested orchestration
- **Persistent:** everything (`~/.hermes`: memory, skills, sessions, cron, config) lives on the `/data` volume — survives restarts
- **Web UI:** built-in Hermes dashboard (basic-auth protected)

## Setup (owner)

Secrets are set via `hf spaces secrets set` (or the Space Settings page on the Hub):

| `HERMES_DASHBOARD_BASIC_AUTH_USERNAME` | Dashboard login |
| `HERMES_DASHBOARD_BASIC_AUTH_PASSWORD` | Dashboard password |
| `HERMES_DASHBOARD_BASIC_AUTH_SECRET` | Token-signing secret (≥32 random bytes) |
| `API_SERVER_KEY` | Bearer key for the OpenAI-compatible API on `:8642` |
| `API_SERVER_ENABLED` | Set `true` to expose the API server |
