# Brainstem 2
Brainstem 2 is the second public release built from the private `brainstem` development line.
## Upgrade Position
Use Brainstem 2 as the improved public release over Brainstem 1.
## Status
This folder is currently a release scaffold. It does not yet contain real model weights.
## Release Checklist
- Document changes from Brainstem 1.
- Add real model weights.
- Use `Qwen/Qwen2.5-1.5B-Instruct` as the upstream base model.
- Add evaluation results.
- Add example usage.
- Confirm no private SaaS data is included.
## Upgrade Notes
- Better Supernerve product coverage than Brainstem 1.
- Stronger guardrails for pricing, compliance, privacy, and roadmap claims.
- Better workflow, agent builder, Cortex, and company brain examples.
