Layer-selection grid: pinned per-source K/V norm on/off (lsel_pin), sel28 e/f/s arms, and the select28_bb noise/freeze cells (n0f0, n0f1, n1e28, n1f0, n1f1, n1unif). Verdict: the selector objective is flat -- 6 inits reach ~chance with different maps at identical loss; fixed first-28 is the shipped configuration. Each `*.shards.stepNNNNNN/state.pt` holds only the EMA payload (`state['extra']['ema']`, fp32, clean names) extracted from the original training checkpoint, fingerprint-verified against `engine_meta.pt`. Loadable directly by `methods/lafm/vla_flow_ft.py:load_pretrain_trainables` with `init_use_ema=true`.
