Commercial use & provenance of the released LAM-20K weights — licence clarification?

Hi 3DAIGC team, and thank you for releasing LAM and the LAM-20K weights — the one-image-to-animatable-head pipeline is genuinely impressive work.

We're evaluating LAM-20K for one narrow on-device feature in a paid consumer iOS app, and we'd like to do it properly. The model card here doesn't state a licence for the weights, so we'd be grateful for your explicit position on a few points:

  1. Commercial use of the weights. The code is Apache-2.0, but may the released LAM-20K weights be used commercially in a paid mobile app? We'd value your clear yes/no, given the weights build on FLAME and third-party training data.

  2. FLAME version. Which FLAME version is embedded in the released assets (e.g. the LAM_human_model bundle)? This decides whether we need a separate commercial FLAME licence or can rely on FLAME 2023 Open (which the Max Planck team have confirmed to us is free for commercial use).

  3. Training-data provenance. Which datasets were used to train the released weights, and are those datasets — and the resulting weights — cleared for commercial use and redistribution?

  4. Authority & contact. Can you confirm the team has authority to release these weights for commercial mobile use? A licensing/commercial contact would also help, as a direct email to the corresponding authors bounced.

Happy to take any detail off-list. Thank you very much for your time.
