Success on Mac CPU?

Has anyone ran this locally on their Mac successfully? Whenever I run it, even for the simple case of english ref to english speech zero shot, the output audio sounds garbled. I get that it will take longer than GPU, but I thought it would still work on CPU...? I'm using .wav files too.
