π© Report: Copyright infringement
Hi @GAi92
Would you mind chiming in here?
@Bwant Thank you for reporting, if you are not able to come to a resolution here, could you please forward us a DMCA takedown notice so we can help you move this along?
Good evening, I certainly can. There was quite a bit more going on off site but I'd wager that doesn't do much for the sitaution.
I'd be happy to take it down if there's a legitimate copyright infringement taking place here. How does HF typically handle situations like this?
Thanks a million for your response π
Ideally we only act as an intermediary to facilitate the discussion, but if we receive a valid DMCA notice we have to disable the repository to stay compliant with the law. If/when that happens we will post the request here and provide the information on how to submit a counter request if you wish to do so. Legal processes can be tedious and stressful though which is why we strongly encourage open communication and friendly resolution when possible, but we understand that this is not always an option
Considering the complainant is not fond of AI, I doubt they would settle for anything less than the removal of the LoRA. However, they are just a hobbyist, not a company with filed copyrights.
I see no reason to not keep the LoRA up, as to remove it would be saying "all AI models should be removed because most artists didn't consent to their data being scraped and used in training". However, how I see things may not be how HF sees things.
In the situation where both parties cannot agree, what would you suggest be done?
