Discoloration at higher resolutions
Hey, first of all thanks for these awesome workflows. They work very well, I'm fairly new to comfyui and AI in general.
I have one issue with LTX-2, whenever I use higher resolutions, i get severe discoloration issues. Here is an example for 1920x1088 which is completely botched:
The same prompt, same settings, except with lower resolution (1216x832) works
much better (I think there is also slight discoloration and contrast change, but nothing too bad):
everything inbetween those resolutions gets gradually worse (even if at same aspect ratio).
I noticed that the 1920x1088 resolution isnt completely discolored if I lower it from 10 to 3 seconds. At 1920x1080 and 5 seconds its still heavily discolored, but not as bad as 10 seconds. 3 seconds even less discoloration.
Does LTX-2 have any limitation, or is it my settings? Any clue?
RTX-5090 32gb, 64gb RAM.
kijais distilled checkpoint without distilled lora, gemma fp8 scaled, distilled connector, so i think my model setup is correct.
Using your I2V + T2V (custom audio) with custom audio disabled, but also happens with the basic one. (Disabled chunk feed forwarding since it says optional and didnt need it)
Thanks!
Is it maybe an anime style thing for LTX-2?
Thanks! Wasted a lot of time then I guess! :D Hopefully 2.1 comes soon!
Still experimented for a bit:
For anyone else struggling with extreme discoloration or weird artifacts in anime style gens, it helped a lot reducing the LTXVPreprocess img_compression to 0 or something very low.

Interesting. Will try some here too.
The whole compression thing been around since LTX-1 .. and if i recall correctly a way for the model to think videos, instead of static image. For the results to move and not be a "poster zoom".
But could be adjusting it at higher resolutions makes sense, since it has more details, and maybe less need to introduce the "video noise".
(that being said, the LTX team has acknowledged that portrait mode is not working 100%, and will be fixed for LTX-2.1, but any thing improving the results before that is most welcome ;-)

If it makes you feel any better, you saved me a lot of time by asking this question so I could easily find the answer instead of ripping my hair out trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Thank you.
