Which template?
Im really enjoying this model. I think its my favorite one so far. I have a question about which context template to use. The description says to use Llama 3 Chat. I use sillytavern and my options are llama 2 chat, llama 3 instruct and llama 4 instruct. Which one do I use or am I supposed to download llama 3 chat from somewhere? I looked but couldn't find it.
The chat_template.jinja file is included.
SillyTavern's "Llama 3 Instruct" is equivalent to what TheDrummer calls "Llama 3 Chat." They're two terms for the same format (the non-instruct base model isn't a chat model) My copy of the SillyTavern template had the "system message same as user" box checked, which is incorrect. Uncheck that if it is, and make sure System Message Sequences are:
System Message Prefix:
<|start_header_id|>system<|end_header_id|>
System Message Suffix:
<|eot_id|>
System Same as User: No
Note that there should be one blank line under the Prefix. This is important because the Llama 3 format is trained with a blank line there.
