Licensing and attribution

VimeML v4.2 weights, tokenizer, Core ML packages and the included VimeML code are licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or (at your option) any later version, with the additional permission in LICENSE-EXCEPTION for conveyance through application distribution services such as the App Store. The License text is in LICENSE. This release was published under GPL-2.0-only until 2026-10-22; copies received under those terms keep them.

Training data attribution

Applications that bundle this model must show the model license and the following attribution. The terms of each corpus are independent of the model license. This repository contains no training text.

The dialogue corpora are CC BY-SA 4.0. GPLv3 is a Creative Commons designated compatible license for BY-SA 4.0 adaptations, so this attribution stays with the GPLv3 terms.

Evaluation-only sources

AJIMEE-Bench (CC BY-SA 3.0), WRIME (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) and JMultiWOZ (CC BY-SA 4.0) were used for evaluation only. They do not enter the weights; this repository distributes aggregate metrics, not their text.

Third-party software

SentencePiece and other runtime dependencies are installed separately and keep their upstream licenses. source/ is the unchanged snapshot of the recorded source commit; its LICENSE shows the GPL-2.0 text that applied at that commit, and the whole repository is now offered under LICENSE and LICENSE-EXCEPTION.
