tts doesn't spell numbers correctly

Am i missing something?
I can't hear the numbers properly. For example, in this sentence - "These headphones cost 1000 rupees", I am not able to hear 'thousand' properly, it is kind of washed off.
The model requires a text normalizer to properly work with numbers etc. since it was not extensively trained for numbers.
