Biomedical Informatics Group 🧬
We are a research group in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, developing statistical and machine learning methods to better understand human disease.
Our research spans:
- Multimodal and multi-omic learning — integrating molecular and clinical data to understand disease and patient differences.
- Biomedical language models — extracting knowledge from scientific literature and clinical text, and exploring reliable clinical reasoning.
- Graph and network methods — connecting biological knowledge with patient data for interpretable analysis.
Our applications include cancer, Parkinson’s disease and genetic developmental disorders.
This Hugging Face organisation is a home for models, datasets and demos supporting our research.
