Imagelight Caption Generator

Auto-generates product descriptions and SEO captions for B2B lighting product images on the Imagelight platform.

Model Description

Fine-tuned from Salesforce/blip-image-captioning-large on 12,000 lighting product images with human-written descriptions. Generates catalog-ready product captions including fixture type, wattage, color temperature, and application context.

• Fine-tuning: LoRA (rank=16, alpha=32) on cross-attention layers

Platform Context

Built for Imagelight, a B2B lighting products marketplace built with Next.js and Supabase. Reduces manual product listing time from 5 minutes to 30 seconds per SKU.

Limitations

• English captions only
• Optimized for studio/catalog product photography; accuracy drops on installation photos
• May hallucinate specific wattage values for uncommon fixture types
