A zone is one the four optional attributes (zone, aisle, row, and bin face) that you can assign to a bin to make it easier to find in the warehouse.
Typically, zones are used when you store your items in separate areas of the warehouse based on the characteristics of the items. For example, you might have zones for receiving, refrigeration, dry storage, security storage, and oversize storage.
