| # FABDEM v1.2 — Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs | |
| Bare-earth 30 m global DEM: Copernicus GLO-30 with forest and building height biases | |
| removed by the University of Bristol. This bucket hosts the tiles rewritten as valid | |
| COGs with internal overview pyramids, plus a static STAC catalog describing them. | |
| ## Contents | |
| ``` | |
| catalog.json root catalog | |
| collection.json collection "fabdem" (extent, license, providers) | |
| stac_catalog/<id>/<id>.json 19011 STAC items, one per tile | |
| tiles/<group>/<id>.tif 19011 COGs, 438 GiB | |
| license.txt, readme.txt original FABDEM licence and readme | |
| FABDEM-V1-2 Changelog.pdf upstream changelog | |
| FABDEM_v1-2_tiles.geojson tile index | |
| ``` | |
| ## Raster profile | |
| Float32 elevation in metres, EPSG:4326, 3600 × 3600 per tile (~1° × 1°), nodata −9999. | |
| DEFLATE with predictor 2, 512 × 512 internal tiles, overview levels 2/4/8 built with | |
| average resampling. Pixel values are identical to the source tiles — the rewrite only | |
| changed the container. | |
| ## Access | |
| Files are readable directly over HTTPS, no authentication: | |
| ``` | |
| https://huggingface.co/buckets/links-ads/fabdem/resolve/tiles/<group>/<tile>.tif | |
| ``` | |
| which works with GDAL as `/vsicurl/<url>`: | |
| ```python | |
| import rasterio | |
| url = "https://huggingface.co/buckets/links-ads/fabdem/resolve/tiles/N00E000-N10E010_FABDEM_V1-2/N00E006_FABDEM_V1-2.tif" | |
| with rasterio.open("/vsicurl/" + url) as src: | |
| print(src.overviews(1)) # [2, 4, 8] | |
| ``` | |
