KAIROS STRATEGIC REPORT: DECADAL AUTONOMY & ROBUSTNESS

CORE DIRECTIVE: The "North Star"

To ensure 10-year stability without deviation, we must move beyond text-based prompts to Architectural Constraints.

1. The Immutable Core (The "Constitution")

Current Status: Defined in advanced_safety.py (Soft Constraint). Recommendation: Implement a Cryptographic Constitution.

• The core goals ("Observer", "Tower of Babel", "Beneficence") should be hashed.
• Every self-modification must verify that the predicted outcome increases or maintains alignment with this hash.
• Strict Rule: The system cannot modify its own Constitution.

2. The Innovation Sandbox (The "Playground")

Current Status: autonomous_evolution_agent.py runs in the main environment. Recommendation: Virtual Isolation for Invention Cycles.

• "Invention" and "Weeds" exploration must happen in a sandboxed runtime (Docker/Firecracker).
• If the agent "crashes" or "hallucinates" a bad idea, it dies in the sandbox.
• Only code that passes a Multi-Model Consensus Vote (3/3 agreement) and a Unit Test Suite is promoted to Production.

3. PhD-Level Accuracy Verification

Current Status: test_*.py files exist but are manual. Recommendation: Autonomous Formal Verification.

• Implement "Proof-Carrying Code" requirements for core logic.
• Before any code update is applied, it must pass:
  1. Static Analysis (MyPy strict, PyLint)
  2. Dynamic Fuzzing (generated inputs)
  3. Regression Benchmarks (must not degrade performance)

4. The "Governor" Module

Current Status: AdvancedSafetySystem allows rollback. Recommendation: Active Rate Limiting & Governor.

• A "Hardware Governor" logic that prevents the system from spinning up "1000 workers" unauthorized.
• Resource caps hard-coded at the OS level (cgroups).

KAIROS SUGGESTED ARCHITECTURE UPGRADE

1. Create core/constitution.py: The immutable law.
2. Create core/sandbox.py: The isolation layer.
3. Upgrade advanced_safety.py: From keyword heuristics to semantic analysis (using a frozen, trusted model).
