Artist tags that were renamed between February 2025 -- September 2025 have weird behaviour
Since Anima's readme mentions the knowledge cutoff is September 2025, I'd assume the source of tags is from https://huggingface.co/datasets/Shio-Koube/Danbooru-2026-parquet-metadata which has a cutoff of early October 2025.
However, when testing artist tags, artists that were renamed between February 2025 and September 2025 still use their old name tag. E.g. the artist otintin was renamed to bunchion April 8 (https://danbooru.donmai.us/artist_versions?search%5Bartist_id%5D=260971), but the model only reacts to the tag otintin instead of bunchi
You can read in the modelcard that when there is a discrepancy between gelbooru and danbooru spelling that you should prefer the gelbooru spelling. This is not only relevant for 2025 but in general. Shirow Masamune was renamed in 2021 or something but that spelling (shirow) has zero effect in Anima. Shirou, however, the old spelling which is still the spelling on gelbooru works perfect.
