This is by no means a minor upgrade.
New R1 is completely 1 shotting entire web apps. Mind you I didn't even bother putting that much effort into my prompt it just kinda did it. I'm completely blown away and amazed. This is truly one of if not THE best model out right now regardless of it's open source nature. Deepseek is doing gods work and keeping AI ours. I just wanted to drop an appreciation comment. Thank you guys for what you do.
Well it's still text only thats what they probably mean by "minor" update. R2 and V4 (if they still make seperate reasoning models which is doubtful as Qwen 3 demonstrated how useful hybrid reasoners are) are probably going to be omnimodal because thats the area where DeepSeek is much behind the closed source models.
