Request for Reconsideration of VGGT-Omega Access
Hello,
My Hugging Face username is dyh20260904.
I am a student at Tianjin University of Technology. I requested access to the VGGT-Omega checkpoints, but my request was automatically rejected without a specific reason.
I would like to use VGGT-Omega only for non-commercial academic research and prototyping, mainly focusing on real-world 3D reconstruction from limited multi-view image datasets. My current work involves Gaussian Splatting, multi-view geometry, LiDAR-camera systems, and camera pose/depth estimation. I am particularly interested in evaluating whether VGGT-Omega can improve reconstruction quality in sparse-view scenarios and provide more reliable camera poses and depth information for downstream 3D Gaussian Splatting.
I will comply with the model license and usage requirements. I will not redistribute the model weights and will not use the checkpoints for military or other prohibited purposes.
Could you please reconsider my access request, or change my request status back to pending so that I can provide any additional information if necessary?
I would be happy to provide further information about my academic affiliation or research purpose if needed.
