Request for reconsideration of SAM 3.1 access for academic research
Hello Meta SAM team,
My access request for facebook/sam3.1 was rejected. Could you please review my request again, or let me know whether any additional information is needed?
I am an academic researcher at Harbin Institute of Technology. I would like to use SAM 3.1 locally for non-commercial research on UAV-based pavement inspection, specifically for automatic vehicle instance segmentation and temporal tracking in aerial road videos. The results will be used to construct a research database for analyzing traffic occlusion, pavement-surface observability, and UAV inspection quality.
My Hugging Face authentication works, but checkpoint access returns HTTP 403 stating that my request was rejected by the repository authors.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider my request or let me know the appropriate process for requesting access again.
