Request for SAM3 Access for Academic Reproducibility Research
Dear SAM3 / Meta AI team,
I am a PhD student at Beihang University, conducting research in robotics, embodied AI, and 3D scene understanding. I would like to request access to the SAM3 model checkpoint for academic and non-commercial
research purposes.
My current goal is to reproduce and evaluate the open-source project “Memory Over Maps: 3D Object Localization Without Reconstruction”, which depends on SAM3 for text-prompted segmentation in its interactive
demo and localization pipeline:

In this project, SAM3 is used as a core component to segment objects from posed RGB-D frames based on natural-language queries, and the segmentation results are then projected into 3D using depth and camera
poses. Without access to the SAM3 checkpoint, it is not possible to fully reproduce the interactive demo or validate the reported pipeline.
I confirm that the model will be used only for academic research, reproducibility, and evaluation. I will comply with the license terms and usage restrictions of the SAM3 model and will not use it for
commercial deployment or unauthorized redistribution.
