Grey Rope is an AI engineering company focused on building local, resource-efficient machine learning systems for security-sensitive environments.
We research and develop models and infrastructure designed to operate where cloud connectivity, data residency, latency, and operational resilience matter.
What We Build
We optimize machine learning models for local inference across constrained CPU, GPU, and NPU environments.
Our work includes:
- Model quantization and optimization
- On-device inference
- Offline and air-gapped deployments
- Resource-efficient model architectures
We investigate machine learning techniques for defensive security, including:
- Threat detection
- Anomaly detection
- Automated defensive response
We are also developing speech and language technologies for African languages, with a focus on creating models that can operate locally rather than relying entirely on external cloud APIs.
Our research includes multilingual speech synthesis, voice technologies, and language-specific fine-tuning.
